Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information ChineseNameGuide uses to provide name generation, account, and workspace features.
Information you provide
Account registration may include your email address and display name. Naming tools may process an English name, selected filters, project purpose, candidate names, and notes you choose to save. Do not enter confidential or sensitive personal information into a naming brief.
Local and account workspace data
Anonymous projects are stored in your browser. When you sign in, supported projects are sent to the backend so they can be available in your account. Clearing browser storage removes local-only work. The interface labels whether work is local or synced.
Authentication
Email authentication is handled by the ChineseNameGuide backend. Google sign-in is handled through Google OAuth and the backend callback. We do not ask you to share your Google password with this site.
Analytics and advertising
Optional Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense scripts load only after consent. You can decline them or reopen Cookie settings from the footer. Necessary browser storage remains active for theme, authentication, privacy choices, and local workspace behavior.
Sharing and retention
We use service providers only to operate the product, authenticate users, understand optional analytics, and serve consented advertising. Account and synced workspace data remain until removed through supported product controls or a verified deletion request, subject to security and legal retention requirements.
Your choices
You may use public tools without an account, decline optional cookies, remove local projects, and request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data. Contact hello@chinesenameguide.com.
